Round 3 of the McMertry Shoot at Machias

Well the rain showed up right at 10am as we started the 3rd round of the McMertry Shoot.  Kenmore had another strong showing for the club with 13 shooters. Mike O’Malley posted the top score of the day with a 48 and Kenmore did not let off in the rain, Andrew Gough 43, Sean Miller 42, Jeff Dornes 41 and Robert Miller 40 for a score of 214 to Macias’s  198. Kenmore leads the series 2 to 1.

The last shoot will be at Kenmore on April 1st, this shoot is open to all shooters so come out and join in the fun!!

Maintenance

Responsibilities

  • General Maintenance of the range
  • Pressure Washing the range
  • Lawn Maintenance

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to use weed eater, backpack blower, riding mowers, with some shovel work, chainsaw, painting and carpenter work
  • Position is 32 hours per week
  • Must be able to start as early as 4:00 am

Rangemaster

Responsibilities

  • Ensure range safety for all customers, employees and visitors
  • Assist customers and members with basic firearm handling techniques
  • Ensure safety on the range by observing all users and respectfully, but immediately ceasing any behavior that could be considered unsafe

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Law enforcement, military, security officer, or shooting range experience is a plus
  • Range safety officer certification from an accredited organization such as NRA, preferred
  • Self-motivated & exceptional organizational skills.
  • Great Customer Service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be alert, sharp, decisive, and tactful with good social skills
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and telephone protocol.

 

Cashier

Responsibilities

  • Handle cash transactions with customers
  • Scan goods and collect payment
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
  • Customer Service

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanner, etc)
  • Strong Communication and time management skills
  • Customer Satisfaction-oriented
  • Attention to detail and mathematical skills

Trapper

Responsibilities

  • The main responsibility of this role is Safety;  on and off the line
  • Escorting and supervising 1 to 5 person squads on various trap games throughout the day
  • Maintain the trap house ensuring clay targets are fully stocked and trap houses are clean

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Great Customer Service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must be alert, sharp, decisive, and tactful with good social skills
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
  • Must be able to carry 40 lb of weight
  • This is an outdoor position. The candidate must be able to stand for long hours in all weather
  • Other duties as needed throughout the day
